The Glued Laminated Timber Association is an independent trade association whose main aim is to promote the awareness of glulam and its properties in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The Association represents the leading UK companies in the Glulam industry. Members of the Association provide a comprehensive design, supply and erection service for beams, arches, portal frames and trusses, together with associated materials.

The majority of glulam sold through GLTA members is imported from European factories with long established third party controlled quality systems. Those members of the GLTA who manufacture in the UK are all committed to introduce third party assessed quality systems in their own factories and are currently working to agreed European Standards.

The Association is represented on BSI and European technical committees.

Membership is open to those companies who manufacture and distribute glulam, and also suppliers to the industry.
